10th Annual Tumbleweed gala to honor David Tierney April 2
Phoenix (March 7, 2016) Tumbleweed is celebrating its 10th annual gala dinner with a salute to long-time Board member and past Tumbleweed Board President David Tierney at the Pointe Tapatio Cliffs in Phoenix on Saturday, April 2, 2016.
“A tenth anniversary is a milestone and a time to reflect,” said Tumbleweed Chief Executive Officer Cynthia Schuler. “What better time to acknowledge one of the most important figures in our history, someone involved from the very beginning.”
Schuler says Tierney, a long time Phoenix attorney and advocate for community engagement, composed the original Tumbleweed by-laws in the early 70’s.
“We’re looking forward to saluting a man who has been a true champion for homeless youth in the Valley for a long time,” she added.
The evening begins with hors d’oeuvers and bidding on silent auction items at 6 p.m. with dinner service at 7 p.m. Awards, auction, raffle announcements and dancing follow.
“Please join us at a truly gala evening,” Schuler says. “Business dress is appropriate, as is a good sense of humor and a willingness to really enjoy a great Saturday night out!”
Individual tickets are $250 and a table of ten is $2,250.
