Homeless Youth Intervention Project HYIP is a Homeless Youth Intervention Project where Case Managers attempt to prevent homelessness or reunify homeless youth with their families and aids in strengthening relationships. When reunification is not appropriate, HYIP assists the youth in becoming independent and productive. Through collaborative agreements with Tucson and Prescott based organizations, Our Town and Open Inn, the program serves youth in Phoenix, Tucson and Prescott.

Current Program Goals:

HYIP’s goal is to increase the percentage of youth reunited with their families (when appropriate).

Staff Quote:

I have the opportunity to work at some of the most incredible programs within Tumbleweed. HYIP can help young people who are at-risk, runaways or homeless in so many ways only limited by our creativity. The main goal is to do what is best for the young person whether that is helping them get shelter, counseling, reunify with their family or work towards self sufficiency.” - Debbie Kayatt, Program Manager, HYIP

Client Quote:

Thank you for helping me and my family. You have really shown me that people do care.” - Client, HYIP
