Bilingual Clinician
Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development is currently accepting resumes for the position of Bilingual Clinician (Fluent English & Spanish). The Clinician shall conduct mental health assessments for youth residing in Tumbleweed Residential facilities, as well as provide ongoing individual and crisis intervention. Provides training and supervision to Youth Care staff as directed by the Program Director and/or Lead Clinician as needed to implement treatment planning and intervention. Maintains case records and attends and participates in weekly case consultations with the Program Director; or Assistant Program Director and appointed consultants. Attends and participates in weekly staff meetings presents case reviews in weekly staff meetings.
Qualifications: Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) and 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience; or a Master’s Degree in psychology or Counseling. Must pass DPS Fingerprint background clearance and have clean 39 month driving history.

• Tumble Tee's Program Coordinator
TumbleTees is a unique screen printing shop that employs homeless youth ages 25 and under. The youth are taught screen printing skills and how to operate a small business. They have the opportunity to learn real life business skills while also being creative. TumbleTees strives to empower youth to experience successes and feelings of hope that are necessary for them to transition into a life of self-sufficiency, while also stimulating creative growth and providing a safe source of income.
We are currently accepting resumes for the Program Coordinator position. The TumbleTee's Coordinator will be responsible for the production management of a small t-shirt screen-printing business. The Coordinator work handson as an educator and supervisor to homeless and at-risk youth who are enrolled in the Vocational Training Program to fulfill contracted custom orders with local clientele.
Minimum requirements:
• Ideal candidates should have at least one year of screen printing experience, from art school, or a professional, industrial shop and one year in the education, social work or volunteer experience.
• Business management, customer service, graphic design and working with similar populations are a plus.

• Be physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

The WIA Case Manager will be responsible for:

• Vice President of Development
This position is a member of the Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development senior management team and reports
to the Chief Executive Officer of the organization.
Accountabilities: The V.P of Development is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and evaluating
all aspects of the organization's comprehensive fundraising operation. The V.P of Development will manage the
development staff and the internal operational infrastructure for fundraising, the V.P. of Development will also
help direct the fundraising work of the CEO/Executive Director, help direct and serve as the staff liaison to the
development committees of the Board, and personally manage his/her own portfolio of prospects and donors.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Involving the Board, CEO/ED & other Key Staff to develop and manage the execution of strategic and
annual fundraising plans, including the establishment of fundraising priorities, goals, calendars, and budgets.
• Create and articulate the fundraising case for support.
• Manage the prospect and donor relationship management process, including the identification, qualification,
cultivation, engagement, solicitation, and stewardship of individual, corporate, foundation, and donors.
• Direct all fundraising strategies, including annual fund, major gifts, planned gifts, and special events,
including:
o Oversee direct mail, phone and email solicitations.
o Oversee special events including those produced by third parties.
o Execute the process of face-to-face solicitations, of current, past and future donors

• Youth Care Workers
We are currently accepting resumes for experienced Youth Care Workers to work in our Open Hands Crisis Shelter 3:00PM-11:00PM Sunday thru Thursday. Youth Care Workers are responsible for culturally competent, direct services to agency clientele and group management. • Outreach/Youth Care Worker
The Outreach Worker will provide primary level services (food and medical attention) and secondary level services
(crisis counseling, group training and linkages to appropriate community resources) on the streets and in the Phoenix
Youth Resource Center with the ultimate objective to move youth out of the streets and into a safe living environment.
This shift is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Friday 5:00PM-9PM; Wednesday 1:00PM-9:00PM.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Co-facilitating the continuity of daily program structure at the Phoenix Youth Resource Center and assisting in the
overall communication process within the facility
-Responsible for giving immediacy to the needs of homeless and runaway youth on the streets.
-Utilize a Harm Reduction (gradual minimization of risk behavior over time) approach to youth encountered on the
streets.
-Responsible for providing community education regarding the Agency and the plight of homeless and runaway youth
as needed and requested by the Program Manager.
-Responsible to work collaboratively and effectively with members of the collaborating agencies staff and volunteer
staff.
-Implement an outreach model and process which includes the following tasks: provide supplies, transportation,
immediate problem solving, referral and general education to youth on the streets.
-Ensure proper usage of secured and unsecured area of the Phoenix Youth Resource Center to support safety of
clients, visitors, volunteers and staff.
-Offer attention to the immediate needs and spend time with youth to model how to do tasks when necessary to
assist youth in meeting their goals.
-Maintain accurate records and logs regarding ongoing interactions with youth to ensure quality documentation and
communication flow.
-Supervise the activities in the Phoenix Youth Resource Center and manage traffic in the common areas to provide
safety and leadership to youth.
-Facilitate life skill exercises including assisting youth with basic needs, communicate special needs to case manager
to promote quality care.
Minimum Requirements:
Hs Diploma/GED and Two years experience working with homeless or at-risk youth.

• Training Manager
This position is responsible for defining, acquiring, developing, and in many cases, delivering the appropriate training
for the youth care staff of the organization.
The Training Manager will be responsible for documenting the completed training of each staff member, to assure
adherence to the standards of various licensing and funding agencies, and to improve Tumbleweed’s ability to
provide optimal services to our youth.
Essential Duties:
• Review licensing and funding documents to determine initial and ongoing training requirements to meet
standards.
• Review best practices in the youth and young adult services field, as well as the homeless field in general to
determine additional training recommendations.
• Manage the research, development, scheduling, delivery and tracking of Tumbleweed’s training courses and
programs.
• Design and develop training materials and programs that integrate adult learning theory, nature of training
being delivered, audience location, instructional design methodology, interactive exercises and job aids in various
formats (self-study, online, or classroom) within the context of business needs and constraints.
• Analyze the audience, content, technologies and operational constraints associated with selecting the best
delivery methods for each objective to optimize design and implementation strategy.
• Develop, maintain and monitor a tracking system to allow reporting to funders and other entities regarding
the level of training of our staff.
• Schedule training classes, training facilities at times and days that will allow access by most staff members,
accommodating the 24/7 nature of Tumbleweed’s staffing.
• Personally deliver the training for many of the standard classes.
• Develop relationships with other community agencies that may be willing to share training materials and/or
trainers for additional specialized training.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Candidate should have experience with training and/or education, and with developing training plans, tracking
training results, and reporting on results. Experience as a high school or community college educator is a plus, and a
Bachelors Degree preferred.
