DAVID W.'s STORY:
The DIC is just ONE of the MANY continuum of care services Tumbleweed provides 1,000's of youth each year in Maricopa County. During David's tenure in Tumbleweed continuum of care programs, he has progressed from BEING HOMELESS & UNEDUCATED to ATTAINING HIS GED, STABLE HOUSING and on his way to ESTABLISHING a CAREER! Angelena D.'s STORY: Angelena was referred to our Tumbleweed Learning Center through Tumbleweed's Young Adult Program (YAP). She went from being homeless to attaining her GED through our Learning Center as well as completing Data Entry School, where she earned an Occupational Skills Certificate. Today, she successfully secured a job with CHASE Financial services and is doing amazingly well. Every year Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development must raise more than $500,000 from our local community to make ends meet & provide matching funds required to receive our Federal Grants that leverage over $3.5 Million back to Arizona through Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development's programs and services. YOUR SUPPORT goes to support ALL the successes's of these amazing young people! Since 1972 Tumbleweed has expanded to provide more than
12 direct service programs that provide a continuum of care for over
3000 homeless, abused, abandoned, neglected, and at risk youth annually,
ages
