Learning Center
We recognize that even in crisis,
the one thing that cannot wait is education.
Tumbleweed Learning Center
Located at 3707 N. 7th Street, the Learning Center is an official part of Maricopa Regional Community School District. At the TLC, young people can develop in a number of ways:
- The Tumbleweed Transitional High School is an accredited high school program where hundreds of young current or former Tumbleweed clients have achieved full high school graduate status.
- Vocational assistance helps youth identify strengths and interests as they begin to recognize their future can indeed be a bright one.
- Students can also receive GED, job development help and access to computers for job searching.
- Career specialists help learners attain paid internships, job training and even financial support toward college or university educations.
Quick Fact: Through Access ASU, Learning Center students meet formerly homeless youth who are now successful university students. They also receive a “Day in the Life of A College Student” tour of the Tempe campus.
